Lost Paradise

Website redesign followed by WordPress theme development. Lost Paradise is a boutique New Year's Eve musical festival in Sydney, Australia. The website showcases the festival and a shop for their merchandise.

My role

In a collaborative work with another senior designer, I was responsible for implementing all the design changes in the front-end. I was also responsible for implementing a new eGate checkout facility to the existent eCommerce system. The challenge was to recycle the existent code in the backend in order to create some of the new features.

Block Grid

One of the layouts used across the site is a three columns block grid. Each block includes a hover/wash effect which reveals extra details. The challenge was to make sure every piece of content displayed consistently across all screen sizes. All the content can be published, edited and modified as well as maintained from the WordPress interface.

Full Screen

Another layout used across the site is the full screen background. This is a very strong layout and fully responsive.

The image gallery is a selection of the past year's photos in full screen. The images rotate in a sliding and fading effects.

Single Artist's Page

This page has also been adapted following the new design. The new user interface showcases a two columns grid for the copy as well as a secondary navigation to return to the main page or visit the next artist's page.

A selection of different 'Glamping' options. Each option leads to its product's page. The challenge was to reproduce the typography in the new design. The content displays nicely and consistently across different screen sizes.
